Summary

Learn how online education differs from traditional classrooms while you explore and develop your own personal strategies for online learning success. You will be guided through an interactive investigation and self-reflection process to help you determine your learning preferences and create your own personal strategy for successful online learning.

Learning outcomes

Learners who complete this course will be able to:

  • describe what it means to learn
  • identify and analyze their personal learning preferences
  • identify and describe common components of an online learning environment
  • analyze and compare differences between online and traditional learning
  • describe areas of personal adjustment for success in online learning
  • analyze different types of learning environments including the personal learning environment
  • employ effective online communication skills through exploration of common online communication tools and strategies.

Each course module finishes with an end-of-module quiz. There is option for certificate (successful completion of the quiz for all five modules)
